With Scott Goldbaum and Orangewood Guitars

Full Master Class:

Join your mentor Scott Goldbaum as he guides you through the absolute fundamentals of guitar. This expertly-paced 10-day class is the perfect way to kick start your journey into the wonderful world of guitar playing.

This class is designed to get you playing right away, and Scott has a knack for making guitar simple and intuitive. By the end of this class, you’ll be able to play along with the most popular songs.

// Do I need prior experience with guitar?

Nope! This class is the best place to start if you’ve never played guitar before. Even if you can already play a little bit, this is a great way to brush up on the basics, establish good habits and lay a strong foundation to build your skills on.

// Who is this class for?
This is an entry-level class for beginners.

The curriculum was crafted by our team of master’s-level and pro-touring musicians to give you the best possible beginner’s pathway for learning the guitar.

This class will set you up to advance quickly as a guitarist and avoid the bad habits that slow many beginners down.

// Tips for learning
As you begin to learn guitar, it’s important to remember that you’re asking your brain to embark on a journey! You have to form brand-new neural connections and strengthen them over time so that you can play with ease.

Playing a basic G chord might sound simple in theory, but, when you think about it, it’s a complex process to master. You need to give your brain time to commit each small motion to muscle memory. From placing each finger in the right place on the fretboard to strumming the strings correctly, there’s a lot involved.

Basically, The Tortoise and the Hare said it best: slow and steady wins the race. You could click your way through this class in a few hours, but as a complete beginner, the material will last you a while.

Don’t bite off more than you can chew, and give yourself time to get acclimated. Sometimes, all you need is a good night’s sleep for a concept to click in your brain.

// Meet your instructor
Scott Goldbaum is one of the world’s best online guitar teachers. He’s an LA-based multi-instrumentalist whose credits include Sting, Keith Urban, Charlotte Lawrence, and many others. Hailed by Randy Jackson as a “guitar virtuoso”, Scott is equally at home on stage as he is in the studio.

Scott’s a phenomenal teacher who has a serious knack for making the guitar fun and approachable.

Being a musician from a young age I began singing at the age of five. I have been a live performer for about thirty years and have played in many bands from covers bands to original ensembles. At twenty I began to write a lot of my own songs and still do today and have written about two hundred works.
